Introduction

Hello everyone! My name is Abani, I am a Nigerian International undergrad student in my fourth year at the University of Victoria, Department of Economics. I am looking forward to this semester as it is my last one and I am looking at graduating this Spring. I am also a part time server at a restaurant and a musician by practice (I compose music and perform on shows). My favourite academic subjects are definitely artistically inclined topics, e.g, printmaking, graphic design, drawing and painting etc.

My life passion is making music and I hope to take it on full-time and professionally after I am finished school. Over the past year I was able to create and put out three different mixtapes and accompanying music videos with each project while in school full-time so I am pretty grateful about that. I have not had any experience with multimedia in education but I don’t think it is far off from the work I’ve done with getting different multimedia projects out to complement the music I put out. From constructing vision boards and final edits and executions I feel very confident in working on multimedia in education.

I really hope to learn program/project planning/management from this course so my future multimedia projects that require me to share ideas with other individuals will have an ease of understanding so as to get my vision across to various individuals efficiently.
